About the Editor-in-Chief

            Abhijit Chaliha born in Amaguri village of Lakhimpur, Assam on 14th July, 1988. He has done his Graduation from Pub Dikrong College followed by Master Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication under Dibrugarh University. Chaliha started his career as a Medical Representative in Ozone Pharmaceutical in 2009. Later he worked in India's top rank companies like HIMALAYA DRUG COMPANY, LUPIN PHARMACEUTICAL, Dr. REDDYS, SIGNUTRA as a Medical Representative. Chaliha also worked as an Area Manager in multinational pharmaceutical companies like SIGNOVA PAHRMA, MICRO LAB. etc.

                Due to his keen desire and interest in the field of journalism he left all his previous jobs and joined as a Reporter in UA TV at Dibrugarh (a cable TV Channel of Upper Assam). Simultaneously he joined in Asomiya Pratidin (a leading Assamese daily) as a Reporter in Dibrugarh. Later he worked in Agradoot, Ajir Asom etc.  In the year 2013 Chaliha joined in Prag News (a Satellite Channel of Assam) as a Reporter at Dibrugarh district HQ. Moreover he was a casual announcer in All India Radio, Dibrugarh. Presently Chaliha is working as Bureau Chief of Lower Assam in TNI Agency (a leading News and Current Affairs Agency of India) based at New Delhi & News Editor in The Assam Rising (an English daily). Chaliha is also Chief Editor of monthly research journal (ISSN) “NATUN PRAYASH” and Editor-in-Chief of web portal THE REVEAL (https://thereveal.co.in).

                Abhijit Chaliha set his name in Assam Book of Record for his smallest Poetry Book “Preetiloi Emuthi Kabita” in Assamese language measured 5cm height x 3.5cm breadth which almost looks like a match box. He usually writes poems, articles in various newspapers, magazines and other digital platforms. He has authored six books so far. Such as:

(a) Preetir Xubash (poetry book)

 b) Story of Aakbar and Birbal (Story book for Children)

(c) Kunhipat (Poetry Book)

(d) Sishu Ramayana (Story book for Children)

(e) Sourav (compilation of 3 one act play) and

(f) Preetiloi Emuthi Kobita (Smallest Poetry Book of Assam).
